Carouge, Geneva_ Bruckner Foundation Artist Residency Program

Burçak Bingöl was an artist-in-residence at Fondation Bruckner in Carouge, in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, during April and May. She was awarded the residency through her work B, Built a Garden, which was presented at Fondazione Officine Saffi in Milan in 2024.

During the residency, Bingöl focused on her ongoing research initiated in 2017, into the journeys of cobalt, the element that gives ceramics their blue color, across geographies and cultures. She also wrote a new series of poems for a video work on the same subject, which she will produce this summer at Koç University, combining the texts with porcelain surfaces.
